The Pride Care-A-Van Is Rolling Through Town Next Week! (The Route Map Is Included In This Post)

200 vehicles representing residents, nonprofits, and small businesses across the St. Louis area will be winding through neighborhoods across the city on Sunday, June 28th! The cars will be decked out in Pride colors and decor promoting social justice, community love, Black Lives Matter support, empowerment, and the spirit of togetherness. We're going to come together at a safe social distance for StoneWall Weekend and have a great time!

Starting at noon near the Grove, the procession will then travel South to Tower Grove Park. Then over to Cherokee Street, Soulard, and Lafayette Square. It will then head to Downtown, Grand Center, through Northside communities, over to the Central West End, and then finish in Forest Park! We expect the parade to take about 2 hours, but it may be up to 3 if we experience any delays. The city will be helping us close intersections as we pass through them, but everyone knows St. Louis streets can get a little crazy sometimes.

You can also view an interactive map HERE.

There will lots of places to the view the procession, and we're encouraging everyone who would like to sit along the route to please spread yourselves out, stay socially distant, and wear masks. It would also be super-cool if people dressed up and decorated their yards along the route. We'll be taking lots of pictures to show that STL has got Pride and no virus is going to keep us from showing it!

There will be a Facebook live feed, a mobile radio station playing queer music, and updates throughout the day so you know where the Care-A-Van is and when it will be coming near you. So hop on the event page to make sure you're ready when Pride comes your way: https://www.facebook.com/events/276172436908285

More updates about the Care-A-Van will be coming as we get into the week leading up to the event. Thank you so much for your support and we hope to everyone along the route on Sunday the 28th!
